@@mnkshawolgirl0937 Yeah that’s one reason but I don’t wanna give away the full credit to SM coz Baek was already good from childhood and he has such a unique and beautiful voice which adds to his amazing vocal ability that he worked so hard to improvise. He never stops learning and training vocalisation even after he has become one of the best of the best vocalist in Kpop. I’d give credit to his hard work and natural talents and gifts.

I am a die hard fan of Taeyong. I never saw someone steeling the performance when he is on the stage, But for Taemin, everyone just faded to the background
i'm so happy when people talking about Taemin, he's very good. I proud of him
I have headphones on. You can literally hear their mouths on p and b sounds. You can hear their breathing and when their breath is being forced out during moves. You can hear the mics shaking when they move. And those mentioning Kai's mic being so far away- It's always like that. He doesn't like his mic in his face because he gives a lot of looks and he likes his voice slightly muted. His voice is just fainter than the others because his mic is maybe 1 1/2 inches from his mouth. You'd know that if you paid attention to the volume in each vocal. Baekie's is louder because it's closer. Yes, they have backing vocals (everyone does because it sounds empty without). This is the first time I've been able to hear Lucas' ad libs clearly.

agreed. in the past i don't think their vocals were as clear (particularly their debut performance) so i always worry when i come to live performances but i'm very happy with the live performance here. can clearly hear them. so proud of my weishenv boys and everyone did great.

@@woo23ey from the perspective of someone whose not familiar with most of the live vocals in this group (i'm a fan of wayv), i was also a bit skeptical when i first heard their live debut. i was like...really? this is live? no way. or you could say i was at least disappointed because i couldn't hear them over the music. but i can definitely hear...i don't want to say flaws but...i can hear the difference between this and the studio version. and i am happy for it. baekhyun especially is a great vocalist.

Props to Kimmel's camera crew for knowing exactly which camera to switch to when it happened... there's just so much more impact when the camera frames the front-facing shot of Mark center & the members' formation spreading out into a V formation... gawd that was intense
Never been so proud of Kai! His voice is so consistent in this performace! Baekhyun's high note here will shut you up from accusing him of lip syncing. Taemin never lets me down on every performance. Mark & Taeyong combo was lit! Lucas my cutie boy, you'll get more parts in the future. Ten the bad-boy-looking but actually softhearted when talking. You deserve all the Love!

They completely murdered this performance. The dancing and the vocals, all on point. So proud!! Baekhyun's high note still gives me the chills. His voice sounds amazing on the albums but it's seriously insane live. Definitely whipped for that man

just realize actually Lucas has many ad libs...(when Mark rapping I think, in second verse), I don't hear it clearly before...
This performance was just perfection! The boys just KILLED this performance. On a technical level: their dancing was sharp, vocals were meshing well, and their stage presence was insane! But also, kudos to the Kimmel stage and production crew! The sound system and microphones were properly adjusted for the best sound quality and the camera crew did an amazing job selecting shots that kept view of the guys. Awesome work!

Now, someone at Kimmel needs to let the U.S. award shows know their secrets because awards shows just never really got production quite right for other idol groups. 😬 P.S. Yes to bigger stages! @@yushi0405 if you pay atenttion, during Mark's verse, Lucas sings some words that are not on the studio version ("so fresh" "drop the drop") those are the adlibs I'm talking about lol

I kinda got out of kpop for awhile around 2015 but I was always a Taemin stan after I first discovered Lucifer back in 2010. Its so amazing seeing how much Taemin has improved throughout the years and seeing his solo work and him in SuperM brought me back 🥺💕
I always found Kai so intimidating, but then I got to know about him. He's so fluffy lol. Mark's part will forever be my favourite part of the song They all did such a fantastic job! Love it

SuperM members are all so fluffy!! The less fluffy ones are probably Taemin and Ten (evil maknae/hyung line) lol The rest are total teddy bears.

Taemin steals the show everytime he shows up to it but Taeyong will have his moment soon enough. 💚 Taeyong is amazing!
80% - Taemin being the king of k-pop (like duh where is the freaking lie) 10% - Beakhyun's high note (i was blown away and my screen is not that big) 5% - Kai's facial expression change (my jaw DROPPED). 5% - other (no lies in this section as well) me - vibing to the song, being like GO KING'S, and not giving a damn about how i am above a floor, porbably going to break it. i loved all of them, and their stage presence is something else dude.
The camera man loves King Taemin. Also, Ten please you are so good!!!! All of them really. I love superM. Those vocals!
Impressed by Kai's live vocals here. He doesn't have any big notes or anything, but he was very clean. Great pronunciation and modulation.

Damn, but Jongin was enjoying himself. Baekhyun and his high notes, it's been four years and I'm still not used to it. Mark is an absolute sweetheart, Taeyong looks like Jack Frost again and blond Taemin is back baby, oh yeah. And finally, some good camera work! A Super(M)b performance!

Everyone's performance is excellent, especially Kai's killer expression.
Never been a fan of exo or super m but 2:12 expression of kai is fire. He's dancing with passion and i love that.

Wow, to be in that audience! So many great Kpop artists in this line up, but Taemin!!! I've been a Shinee fan since 2009. That would have been so cool to get to be in that audience.
People saying they lipsyched really forgot that exo is the vocal power house. Singing live for 2hrs+ concerts for days straight. Lmao. And Taemin is literally a god. So glad they're out there setting higher standards.

I hate to be that person but some parts they recorded and dubbed to the track and some parts they sang, and some parts they did lipsync. It’s a high energy song so it’s okay, that they did lip sync some parts.

I noticed that too, And what some people dont realize is that its really hard for ANYONE, no matter how long they've been in the industry, to sound stable singing doing this type of choreography; lots of jumping and twisting and transitions. In reality if it was completely live, you'd hear them grunting, loud heavy breathing through their parts, etc because this song is literally nonstop movement. But we all know that they recorded it live for the backtrack, so we know they can actually sing it.
Jongin dance like he's playing. He can easily switch from whatever facial expressions is appropriate. You can tell that he loves dancing so much. His moves and stage presence is the best. Kai is indeed Korea's top dancer.

the fact that they still sound like the actual song even tho they’re dancing and singing live might i add is just mind boggling. in these types of shows, you can’t really lip-sync, so it’s just amazing how superm did that. and everyone with the respective group ls and the superm one🥺 that made me really happy

I think they are singing but also have a much louder recorded track playing over it too hence why it sounds crazy good but you can also hear the breathing and pops

I think they recorded the live version before the show (Kpop artist often do that). It's sound so perfect. So yeah it's lipsync

You guys should search for different kinds of recorded tracks that idols use on stage. If it's not too perfect and has some breathing noises doesn't mean it's not lip sync.
Lucas’s confidence is really on another level😶he makes it look so natural thinking that he only debut in 2018 it’s really amazing and I’m very proud of him Xuxi fighting🔥
